  1. I love that you can have a few blogs and manage them at the same time. Also love the feature where it gives you posting goals.

  2. Jaffe says:

I love WordPress because it’s fun to say and PHP sounds like a sneeze…hmmm that was funnier in my head..

  3. Derek Hanson says:

There is a ton of things that I love about WordPress. I will just focus on a few things. First I love that it is a platform fully customizable. PHP, functionality, and layout can all be changed. Second that it is approachable. When I first downloaded WordPress I knew very little about it and found it somewhat intuitive. Third, the community is awesome. You may not know people but WordPress gives you a common bond and interest. Last its free! WOOT!

P.S. Was hoping to attend this one. So winning a ticket sounds great!

  4. Imei says:

I love that even consumer geeks (not just computer whizzes) like myself can make clever websites that are easy to maintain. I constantly get compliments for my website and surprised looks from inquirers who are shocked to find out how I can design and maintain two or more websites while being in a completely different field of work. WordPress rawks!

  5. Imei says:

Oh, did I mention it’s my birthday on April 20th? And if you pick me to attend WordCamp in Seattle, I might gift your audience with a tech-friendly 5 minute teaching moment on how to Shimmy like a bellydancer?

P.S. Can you blame me for trying?!

  6. Karen Eliuk says:

I love the WordPress community – a great group of creative and intellectual developers, designers, and users. This is such a powerful tool for providing information on the internet, how fabulous that it is available free!

  7. Ryan Dawson says:

I love WordPress because of the huge range of plugins and the fact you can do just about anything with them!

  8. I love that WordPress is simple enough for a non-techy to get a professional looking site up in under an hour, yet flexible enough for code ninjas to create advanced sites that look completely custom built.

  9. Dana West says:

What do I love about Word Press? That’s easy! Its common-sense approach of easy design and execution, and its base in free services is offering many of us the freedom to express vitally important information to and with each other – across the globe. Close to 400 million people view more than 2.5 billion pages each month. Thank you Word Press!

  10. Libby says:

I really enjoy the dashboard and how everything is in one place. Being able to run several blogs from one account is awesome. Hope you pick me though….I really need some help!

  11. Madeline Moy says:

I LOVE the flexibility of WordPress. I have used WordPress to blog, show off work samples, present a paper for grad school and share resources with colleagues. It it so easy and intuitive to use, and when I want to modify code, I have a great community to access. Thank you, WordPress!

  12. Jaime says:

As a website developer specializing in websites for fitness professionals, I love that I can get my clients’ sites up in a way that they can maintain them without too much hand-holding! The fitness-pro budget doesn’t allow for a full time web admin and WordPress is the perfect platform for self-maintenance!

  13. I love getting the country stats from WordPress. I never would have known so many people from the UK have found my blog if it weren’t for that feature. And who knew that a few people from Mayanmar have even found me!

  14. G says:

I’m new to WordPress. What I like about it is that it is very flexible. What is really awesome is the excellent, vital and helpful community!

  15. Paul Rovers says:

    Hi,

I moved from MS FrontPage(?!!?!!) to WordPress 3 years ago and there is not a day that goes by that I am not grateful for the platform and the dynamic community of WP developers and users.

  16. Taylor says:

    WordPress is beautiful and powerful.

  17. Joyce Grace says:

I love the power of WordPress, and the up-to-date-ness of WordPress. It is so reliable and can do so much for my clients. I also LOVE the SEO power of WordPress. There is nothing better, nothing faster to helping a site get launched with the most up-to-date technologies, the best SEO capabilities and the most advanced customization of features and elements. What is there NOT to love about WordPress? Seriously, I don’t know why every web site doesn’t move onto this platform!

  18. Here’s what I love about WordPress. When I built and maintained my business web site back in 1999, I used straight HTML, as the WYSIWYG software available at the time was unsatisfactory.

Now it’s thirteen years later, and, as I looked into building a new site for my new endeavor, I knew things had changed quite a bit. Web technologies had advanced, and I was daunted at the prospect of having to learn to build a new site all over again.

Then I discovered WordPress. It’s super-powerful, it’s super-flexible, and it’s super-easy. I loved that I could get started blogging right away, and that I can go deeper into WordPress when I’m ready.

However, the completely unexpected and amazing bonus of WordPress is the community of bloggers and developers. I’m encouraged by them, I’m inspired by them, and I’m glad to belong to the WordPress community.

  19. Stephanie says:

How is it possible to love a content management tool? Oh, it is; I am sure of it. I submit to you: WordPress. In my case, it is a love that is at this point officially unconsummated. Sure, I’ve made initial advances. Poked around, teased some content into place, and got as familiar with the interface as a novice can possibly get without actually publishing. I know that I can’t go on this way. I need more from WordPress, and WordCamp is the answer.

Unrequited love is a bitter pill, and a writer without WordPress chops is…lonely.

  20. I love WP because I can work with my clients and turn most, if not all, of the day-to-day content management over to them thus freeing up my time. It sure is better than the ‘old’ way of creating web sites (and having to keep working on them forever)! I hope I win a ticket!

  21. Jill Gilmore says:

I love the customization features, ease of use once you’ve set it all up, and how easy it is to manage and keep track of your content.

  22. Anna says:

I am new WP user. Not much of a developer but a maintainer, and so I really appreciate the quick and easy editability of WP. I am from Seattle and love it!

  23. Thea-Tulloss says:

    I love WP’s beautiful themes & features to create a web-like site.
WP allows me to produce content rich & engaging online brands.
Two fav themes are Esquire & Structure designed in a magazine format.
As a magazine format, I can upgrade a blog to an online magazine.
I can change-up a single voice blog to a roster of editorial contributors.
Ease of use is a top selling point.
I can Skype coach tech-shy clients into self-changing their WP themes.
Not to forget the supportive and innovative WP community.

  24. Gray Ayer says:

If i were able to road trip from Portland for this event, it would be because I am constantly learning new tricks with the WordPress platform that allows me to constantly offer more and more value to my clients.

  25. Hey Bob! First of all, thanks for thanks for setting organizing the WordPress Meetup, I had a great time the other night.
I love WordPress because of the simplicity, the flexibility, and the scalability. I’m still kind of a newbe at WordPress but I am very excited about it and can’t wait to learn more!
I hope to see you at more WordPress Meetups and maybe even at WordCamp!

  26. Sean says:

I love wordpress for its versatility, ease of use, and the large community that’s there to help when you get stuck. Really fabulous.

  27. Nelson Tam says:

I love WordPress because it’s popular. It has millions of users and thus millions of people who support it’s continued development and growth. I currently use WordPress as a CMS tool for my many pro bono projects in helping random people and non-profit organizations in the community get their websites started. It’s is a powerful tool that has saved me and my clients MANY hours in development and content management / website maintenance work. Simple, easy, robust, and constantly improving… what’s there not to love?

  28. Bob Dunn says:

Thanks everyone for sharing your WordPress love!

Using a random name picker our winner is… drum roll!

    Joyce Grace!

Congrats Joyce, we’ll be seeing you on May 19th!

  29. Hi Bob, what I love about WordPress thus far is that is has given me a way to reach a lot of people with free and low cost ways to get and stay free of tobacco. Having an inexpensive way to do that allows me to keep my costs low and stay true to that mission. The challenge is that now the site needs a serious upgrade, and I lack the skills and budget to do so! I want to go to WordCamp to gain the skills to reach every single one of the 1 billion+ tobacco users on this planet (most of whom want to stop smoking), and I need a smart and evolving site to reach them effectively. So, thanks for offering this opportunity!
